Zodoende ontstond er een overdruk in de luchtfilter waardoor een betere cilindervulling en dus meer vermogen werd verkregen. Suzuki noemde dit systeem Suzuki Ram Air Direct (SRAD) en bij Kawasaki heette het Ram Air Intake System (RAIS).
