Der Fundplatz wurde anschließend von 1967 bis 1977 von David Stronach und Michael Roaf in fünf Kampagnen ausgegraben. Nuschidschan lässt sich in sechs Hauptphasen unterteilen, die mit Unterbrechungen von der Eisenzeit bis in die parthische Zeit datieren. Die 1.
