, Le tramway de Nantes est le premier réseau … Le tramway de Nantes est le premier réseau de tramway recréé en France depuis les suppressions des anciens réseaux intervenus avant ou après la Seconde Guerre mondiale. La première ligne du réseau est mise en service le 7 janvier 1985 entre Haluchère à l'est et Commerce (puis Bellevue) à l'ouest, soit 27 ans après la suppression du premier réseau de tramway nantais. Cette nouvelle ligne est exploitée par la SEMITAN, qui gère l'ensemble des transports en commun de l'agglomération nantaise, pour le compte de Nantes Métropole.taise, pour le compte de Nantes Métropole.
