http://dbpedia.org/ontology/abstract Michael Aitkens (born 1947) is a British aMichael Aitkens (born 1947) is a British actor and writer of drama scripts for movies, television and stage. His BBC situation comedy Waiting for God, first shown in 1990, was BAFTA nominated. Michael Aitkens was educated at Haileybury. He then lived in Australia for ten years and Los Angeles, United States, for two years, graduating from the AFI Conservatory (Los Angeles) in 1981. In 1984 a kids television series titled "The Henderson Kids" was produced for Channel 10 and Michael starred in the show as Walter Mullens The long lost Father of Tam and Steve Henderson, who had moved to the country town of Haven Bay in Victoria to live with their Uncle Mike after the tragic loss of their mother whom was hit by a truck in the city. Walter was contacted by Mike to come see his kids. The series went on to spark a new second series in 1987 called "The Henderson Kids II" where we see the happy Henderson's move to Westport a fictional town in Melbourne, soon after the Henderson Kids move into their new home; their father disappears again leaving Tam and Steve to fend for them selves including escaping the clutches of Walters Business Partners. Michael may have only been in 6 episodes but he was great in the role that has left an impression with many of Michaels Fans here in Australia.
