Die CCBE wurde 1960 gegründet und sieht sich als Verbindung zwischen den Mitgliedern einerseits und den EU-Institutionen andererseits. Ferner arbeitet man international mit diversen vergleichbaren außereuropäischen Vereinigungen zusammen. Sie beschloss auf einer Vollversammlung am 28.
